Overview:
Established in 2016, the Company offers mobile and in-shop fleet repair services, fleet management, and emergency assistance services. While the Company performs some services in-house, its Technicians primarily visit customer sites or roadside for vehicle repairs. Its certified Technicians have extensive experience in tasks spanning oil changes to complete engine overhauls, using industry-standard diagnostic equipment and shop software. This ensures precise repairs and servicing on the first attempt. The Company has recently added U-Haul rentals to its service offering out of the same facility.
Customers:
The Company, primarily serving commercial clients, enjoys a strong, loyal customer base, largely built through positive word-of-mouth and a solid reputation. There is an opportunity to grow the Company’s online presence, which has not historically been pursued. In the past year, two consistent, long-time customers accounted for 22% and 13%, respectively, while all other customers each represented less than 10% of total revenue. Seven of the Company’s top ten customers have been the Company for several years, with the majority working with the Company since it was founded.
Employees:
The Company employees three certified Technicians (fourth Technician starting in April) who complete most repairs at the customer’s site or roadside, with experience from oil changes to complete engine overhauls, using industry-standard shop and diagnostic software. The Company is overseen by a General Manager, who can also step in to work on service orders to generate more revenue and to help decrease service times. Two office assistants handle the Company’s administration, handling billing, client communication, and client support. They manage financial transactions and are the first point of contact for clients, ensuring inquiries and calls are addressed promptly and professionally.
Barrier to Entry/Market Share:
Entry into the market is hindered by the high cost of fleet diagnostic software, which is often unaffordable for small startups. Without this software, repair technicians are forced to speculate on repairs, leading to unnecessary costs. The ability to service large fleets with tight deadlines is beyond the reach of most newer operators, further restricting their market share potential.
Transaction:
The current owner is approaching retirement and is seeking a full divestiture from the company. The owner will not consider staying with the business in his same role with a new absentee owner, but is willing to help transition in a consulting capacity.
