We have been manufacturing Electron Beam Gun Switching Power Supplies since 1990. Our products were initially sold under the logo of our sales agent, Telemark, until 2001 when we initiated direct-to-consumer sales.
What is it?
Products like eyeglasses, reflection optical mirrors, and fiber optic signal filters need to be coated inside a vacuum chamber. This process is called “Vacuum Coating”. During this process, an Electron Beam Gun is used to evaporate coating material to coat objects placed inside the Vacuum Chamber. The Electron Beam Gun requires a high voltage power supply, up to an input of 10 thousand volts. For example, the Hubble Telescope’s 8-foot reflective mirror was vacuum coated with the use of one of Niles Electronics’ power supplies.
